In the Blog, Market gardening, a question of planning, we explained how the crops were organized into gardens, which were themselves divided into 8 beds of equal size.
We now invite you to get to know the gardens better.
Let's start by reviewing the garden plan
Now that you have the plan in mind, let's see what has already been done in each garden and how we have named them.
Alfafa and Panpan (Thumper)
These are the two gardens Verdure-Racines (Greenery-Roots).
In Alfafa, we planted our first chicories. This garden will also host spinach and beets. We named it that because it's the nickname my dad gave to my mom... and my mom loves salad. :-)
Finally, Panpan, it's the second Verdure-Racines garden that welcomed its first patch of carrots. And who particularly loves carrots? Rabbits! Hence the name of Disney's most famous rabbit..
Jack and Prout
These are the first two CuCuBra gardens that host Cucurbitaceae and Brassicaceae.
The Prout garden already has 3 rows of cabbage, and what is the consequence of a large consumption of cabbage... ? 💨
As for Jack's garden, it will welcome our first Cucurbitaceae, including pumpkins, the famous Jack-O-Lanterns.
Ronan
This is the garden of the Fabaceae, mainly consisting of peas and beans.
We named this garden in honor of a friend, Ronan, who last year lamented that we didn't have any beans in our test garden. He will recognize himself 😇
Frisk
This is the garden of Alliums, namely shallots, onions, and... garlic
Is it really necessary to provide more information regarding the choice of Frisk as the garden name?😉
The Greenhouse and the Question
We still need to find a name for the tunnel greenhouse. What if you helped us come up with a name?
Share your ideas in the comments on this blog.
We will choose the name together during our event on 04/04.
Don't forget that you can follow the progress of the crops in the crop monitoring table.
Thank you for being a Companion on this beautiful adventure.
See you soon 😘
